Tiny Jitsu Classes for Ages 3-5

Children are some of our most eager and enthusiastic students. Playing and participating in sports has been proven to increase children's cognitive development, self-confidence, self-control, and more. It has both physical and mental benefits that carry on throughout life.

Now, the littlest members of your family don’t have to feel left out. Our Tiny Jitsu classes focus on developing motor skills, listening skills, discipline, and teamwork. These BJJ classes prepare kids for the Mini Jitsu 6-9 year old classes.

At 3 to 5 years old, children are pulsing with energy and developing at rapid speeds. Jiu Jitsu is perfect for active children that need an extra outlet for all that energy.

Is 3, 4 or 5 Too Young to Start Jiu Jitsu?
Absolutely, 3-5 years old is perfect for Jiu Jitsu. The kids are always excited and eager to learn in a new environment. If children younger than 3 can learn to swim, your child can learn Jiu Jitsu!

Signing them up for Jiu Jitsu will help them learn independence and also reinforce the valuable life skills you’re teaching at home.

Here are some of the benefits you can expect when you sign your child up for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu:

Encouragement - Our highly-skilled instructors are patient and encouraging to help motivate younger children to learn each skill.

Better Focus - Learning Jiu Jitsu requires children to listen in order to master each move. Our instructors have the patience and capabilities necessary to help every child learn and have fun.

Impulse Control - Jiu Jitsu has a way of inherently nurturing and developing impulse control. Children learn to think before they act and are rewarded when they complete a new skill successfully.

Confidence - Is your child painfully shy? Sign them up here! Practicing and learning in a safe environment with other kids will help your child come out of his or her shell as they learn new skills. This confidence carries over into school, play, and home life and continues to benefit them as they grow up.

Happier Disposition - It's proven that when children are engaged in sports, they avoid toxic behaviors more often in later life. Active children have a heightened sense of wellbeing making them more likely to branch out, try new things, and make more friends.

Physical Health - With video games and digital distractions, kids aren’t getting outside as much as they should. Lack of physical activity in childhood has been linked to diminished cognitive abilities. Get your kids off the couch and into our gym.

Community - Just like the adult classes, when kids take Jiu Jitsu they have the opportunity to interact and make friends with other kids their age.
